GAIA’s e-learning Basic Energy Training is designed for everyone in your organisation wherever they’re based, giving them an understanding of energy and how it’s consumed, both in the wider world and in your own business.
The course can be taken at any time convenient to the individual, via a PC, Tablet or Smartphone, and is presented as a quiz. Participants test their knowledge by making choices and receive instant feedback on their answers.
Energy Managers Association Stage I certification is awarded based on successful completion of the course.
What makes GAIA’s e-learning course different?
The experience is different because it reverses the traditional e-learning design. From the outset the participants learn only what they need to learn; they don’t trawl through information they already know. The course automatically tailors itself to the participant, saving time and unnecessary effort.
By reversing the traditional e-learning design and having the quiz at the start, participants are immediately engaged by either demonstrating what they know or learning something fresh. Where their knowledge is lacking there are information screens and videos to provide learning opportunities.
Add your own content
There are seven chapters in the training and Chapter 6 ‘Energy Reporting’ and Chapter 7 ‘Energy Saving’ can be customised to suit your organisation’s specific requirements.
When’s the next course?
The training takes between 50 and 90 minutes to complete depending on prior knowledge, and you can stop and restart between chapters. Take the training at any time to suit you, day or night.
What they say about e-learning ‘Stage 1 Basic Energy Training’
Initially, my staff groaned when they heard that they were to do an e-learning course, but once they got started, they really enjoyed it and every team member (81) successfully completed the course in the allotted time.
Simon Francis – Head of Facilities Management University of the Arts London.
Wickes have become pioneers in energy efficiency – there has been a real culture change. It’s about changing behaviour until the conscious becomes the subconscious. Its great for the environment and brilliant for our bottom line.
